Stunning Forum sofa, originally designed in 1964 by Robin Day and produced by Habitat in the 1990s.
An iconic example of British modernist design, with a strong and perfectly balanced architectural aesthetic.
The exposed solid wood frame, with its meticulous joinery, contrasts elegantly with the wide chocolate brown leather cushions. The slender chrome-plated metal legs, attached to the outside of the frame, give the sofa an almost floating, airy feel.
The intentionally visible construction is an integral part of the design: Robin Day chose to reveal the structure to emphasize the purity of the lines and the quality of the craftsmanship.
The leather is thick, supple, and of very high quality, offering both firm and inviting comfort.
Condition:
Very good overall condition. Beautiful, even patina on the leather. Only a few very discreet snags on one seat cushion (visible in the photos). The leather has been cleaned and conditioned: the sofa is ready to use.
Dimensions:
• Length: 206 cm
• Depth: 70 cm
• Height: 56 cm
A simple, timeless, and structured piece, ideal for a contemporary, vintage, or designer interior.
