The Flos Arco floor lamp, designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962, is an iconic piece of Italian design. This example combines a heavy marble base with an elegant, curved stainless steel arch, resulting in a timeless silhouette that is both functional and aesthetically impressive. The lamp is crafted with a solid base of white Carrara marble, ensuring stability and a luxurious appearance. The telescopic arch of polished stainless steel allows the height and reach of the aluminium shade to be adjusted. The shade itself features perforations on the top, creating a subtle light diffusion towards the ceiling while directing the main light downwards. The original Flos label is visible on the inside of the shade. This example is in good condition with visible signs of use consistent with its age. The marble base and the stainless steel arch retain their structural integrity and original finish.
