This set of five classic Artifort armchairs, model 680, is a beautiful example of traditional craftsmanship (made in Maastricht). The set comes from an inheritance and is from the first owner!
The chairs combine a robust wooden frame with rich, brown leather upholstery, giving them a timeless and characterful appearance. The armchairs are crafted from solid wood and upholstered in brown leather, finished with decorative nails along the edges.
The seats are supported by a sturdy webbing construction, ensuring durability and comfort. On a few chairs, the webbing could be slightly tighter, but nowhere is it broken.
The armrests are elegantly shaped and the legs feature subtle wood carving. The Artifort brand label is visible on the underside, confirming the authenticity of this set.
The chairs are in good condition, commensurate with their age and use. The leather has developed a beautiful patina and shows characteristic crackle, which contributes to the vintage charm. The leather has no tears anywhere. The wooden frames are structurally solid and retain their original finish. These Artifort armchairs fit perfectly into a classic or rustic interior.
They come into their own around a large wooden dining table or as a stylish addition to a library or study.
