Product description
Finnish sauna stool from the 1950s made by Finnsauna Lagerholm. This handmade stool is made entirely of pine making it resistant to heat and humidity.
The stool was used while washing in the bathhouse before getting into the bath. The seat was designed so that water can easily drain from the seat. This is due to the sloping surface and the way the four separate parts are connected by 2 pins.
In addition to the functional aspect, the aesthetic aspect was also taken into account, making this stool reminiscent of a Celtic knot a beautiful object in your home.
This stool is in nice vintage condition with signs of use typical of its age. The wood is not cracked anywhere but does show scratches at the top.
