The design duo Hvidt & Mølgaard-Nielsen ran a joint studio in Copenhagen between 1944 and 1975. During this time, they created nearly 300 pieces of furniture, including iconic designs such as the AX Chair and the Drawn Chair. Their work was formative for the Danish Modern movement and remains highly sought after by design enthusiasts today. Their designs are exhibited in museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Gallery in Melbourne. Hvidt & Mølgaard-Nielsen were twice awarded the Diplôme d'Honneur at the Milan Triennale.
