Gorgeous and unique Scavo vase from the 50-70s. The shape and design are beautiful, looks like an upside down flower vase. In excellent condition, marked by maker (not traceable by us). e scavo technique is a Murano glass technique that creates a cloudy, dusty effect that mimics the patina of long-term buried glass found during archaeological digs. The technique was invented by Alfredo Barbini in the 1950s and later adopted by factories such as Seguso Vetri d'Arte. The Italian word "scavo" literally means "excavation," referring to the rough, moss-covered look of the glass.
