Extendable table in solid oiled elm, Vendée collection by Roland Haeusler for Maison REGAIN, 1970. One support leg folds down under the table. Dovetail joinery ensures quality and sturdiness.
A French manufacturer from the 1960s to the 1980s, Maison REGAIN embodies artisanal excellence. Rather than centralizing production in a soulless factory, the company had its pieces made in various workshops across France, thus ensuring they worked with the finest cabinetmakers in each specialty. While the brand took precedence over ego, one name deserves to be remembered: Roland Haeusler. He designed the majority of the architectural lines—massive yet so delicate—that characterize the Regain style. Good overall condition (minor signs of wear)
