Extendable dining table in a chic rosewood finish.
This beautiful dining table is in immaculate, ready-to-use condition. The luxurious rosewood veneer is characterized by its beautiful flamed grain.
The table can be extended using a clever system. Underneath the tabletop is a spring-loaded extension. By extending the table on one side, the extension pops up. Then, simply slide the table closed, extending the table to its full length.
This allows you to extend or shorten your dining table in an instant, creating extra seating.
Some information about rosewood and why it's so exclusive:
Rosewood furniture was once very popular. And for good reason, because have you ever seen a piece of rosewood furniture? The beautiful red and black-brown grain in the wood and its longevity, combined with its chic appearance, were reasons enough to buy these pieces.
The English also called this wood rosewood to give you an idea of its appearance. The fact that you can no longer find furniture made of real rosewood isn't because there's no longer any demand. It has become an endangered species.
The Latin name Dalbergia nigra, also known as Riopalisander from South America, is now even on the CITES list.
Its condition is excellent; the table has always been well-maintained, though it is 60 years old. It was recently mechanically inspected in our workshop and prepared for years of enjoyment.
The design gives the piece its own unique character, with a beautiful patina that makes vintage furniture so unique.
