Title: 3D Wall Sculpture "Rose and its Bud" – Signed Ngor Hân – Intarsia Art – 41 cm
Description: I am offering for sale a work of Walloon art craftsmanship of rare finesse: a relief wall sculpture (bas-relief) depicting a blooming rose and its bud. This unique piece, dating from the 1970s-1980s, comes from the prestigious craft region of Han-sur-Lesse.
Artist's Signature: The piece is authenticated by a handwritten signature on the reverse, "Ngor Hân" (with a characteristic "g" and a circumflex accent on the Â). This marking attests to a specific workshop creation and not mass production.
Intarsia Technique: A true technical feat, each petal, leaf, and stem is individually cut from solid wood, sculpted to create a striking 3D relief, and then assembled with meticulous precision.
Noble Wood Species (Natural Contrast): The artwork utilizes the natural colors of the wood without any dye:
Flowers: Linden or Maple (creamy-white wood with a very fine grain).
Foliage: Walnut (deep brown hue).
