Product description
For sale a Europa chair from the 1920/30s Olympia Büromaschinenwerke A.G., Erfurt. This chair was exhibited by the Deutscher Werkbund in Paris in 1930 (see photos). It is also pictured in the exhibition catalog designed by Herbert Bayer at the time. The Bröhan Museum in Berlin owns an identical copy. The design was probably created by AEG designer Peter Behrens. The Olympia Büromaschinenwerke A.G. in Erfurt then built it under license. Original condition - architect's chair / Bauhaus design In November 2022, an identical example was auctioned off at the renowned design auction house Quittenbaum for EUR 800.
