French lantern in beveled glass and polished brass, French, 20th century
Dimensions: Height 88cm, Diameter 35cm
Made of brass and beveled glass, this large lantern is finely crafted in the neoclassical style. It is supported by eight scrolled brackets, which combine at the top to create a scrolled crown. The lantern itself is octagonal, with four beveled glass panels on each side and a peach-orange diamond-shaped panel in the center. As it is no longer equipped with its fixtures, the lantern can be retrofitted with lights or used as a decorative ceiling suspension.
