Bring a touch of quintessential British elegance to your home with this magnificent antique spirit kettle, dating from the mid-19th century.
Made by the renowned silversmiths Shaw & Fisher in Sheffield, England, between 1835 and 1872, this piece (model no. 1520) is a superb example of Victorian tableware.
The kettle: An elegant, melon-fluted body, typical of the period, topped with an ornate lid.
The base: A spectacular four-legged stand in the Neo-Rococo style, adorned with scrolls and intricate floral motifs.
Bonus: The piece is complete! The original alcohol burner, which fits into the base to keep the water at the correct temperature, is still present (an element often lost over time). The handle still has its insulating rings.
