A very beautiful and large blown Alexandrite glass vase, Italian production from the Empoli workshops, a vintage piece from the 1960s-1970s. This model features a generous body and a scalloped, flared neck, entirely textured with geometric reliefs that create superb plays of light, and is slightly twisted at the neck. The glass is called "Alexandrite" because of its color-changing hue, shifting from violet to blue under artificial light, and from mauve to pink in natural light, like the gemstone of the same name, which has the same property of changing color depending on the lighting. It is of high quality with the presence of fine bubbles within the glass, typical of blown glass. This vase is a rare piece, as it is usually found in carafe form.
Height 29 cm, maximum diameter 18 cm. In very good overall condition, with only a few rare and discreet micro-scratches from use. Approximately 1 kg.
