Can be delivered within the Netherlands!
Rare mahogany Empire mantel mirror, absolute top quality and in near perfect condition.
With gilt bronze fittings and cut glass.
The mirror can be attributed to the Amsterdam court supplier Royal Furniture Factory H. F. Jansen & Sons, manufactured around 1900.
The mirror is still in excellent condition, without scratches, breaks, chips or other damages. Only there are some very light spots in the original mirror glass (see photo 3). The mirror is still in original condition including nailed lead back plate and sturdy, thick braided copper wires to hang the mirror from.
The bronze hardware is identical to what is found on some Empire furniture at the Royal Palace on Dam Square. It is not known if this mirror was made for the Royal Household. However, the mirror is a unique specimen.
