This specific Footstool & pouf is the iconic design "Element Of Time – Neoclassicism" from 2014, designed by the Dutch designer Nynke Koster, an alumna of the Design Academy Eindhoven. Her work revolves entirely around making molds and casts of historical architecture. The most important details of these Footstools & poufs at a glance: The Concept: Nynke Koster makes molds of historical architectural fragments and ornaments. This specific terracotta-colored object is an exact, three-dimensional impression of a cassette from Neoclassicism (often found in monumental ceilings or buildings). The Material: Although it looks like heavy, hard stone or terracotta, these Footstools & poufs and objects are entirely cast from soft polyurethane rubber. They are designed to be sat on, allowing you to literally touch and impress history. This design is part of her well-known series Elements Of Time (or Fragments Of Time). In this collection, you will also find soft rubber seating elements based on Baroque ceilings and Art Nouveau facades.
