Cabinet in the style of Napoleon III with Boulle marquetry - wood, fire-gilt fittings, brass band inlays with tortoiseshell inlays - Cabinet, France - 1850-1900. Elegant French cabinet in the style of Napoleon III, crafted with a black body and elaborate Boulle marquetry in brass and genuine tortoiseshell. The front is dominated by two doors with finely executed oval inlaid panels and rich ornamentation. Original gilt bronze appliqués adorn the corners, legs, and fittings. The piece rests on curved cabriole legs and displays the high-quality craftsmanship typical of the second half of the 19th century. According to the previous owner, the fire-gilt bronze fittings have been professionally restored. Dimensions: Height: 147 cm, Width: 78 cm, Depth: 41 cm.
