Small original oil painting on panel, signed E. Flégier and attributed to French painter Edmond Flégier. The work depicts a luminous Provençal landscape with rocky foreground, water, Mediterranean vegetation and a distant mountain strongly reminiscent of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire. The painting has a beautiful textured impasto surface and a rich Mediterranean palette, with turquoise, ochre, green and violet tones. Presented in an old cream-painted wooden frame with attractive age-related wear and losses, giving the piece a strong vintage decorative character. Period: circa 1940s–1950s Technique: oil on panel Signed: lower left Painting: 13.7 × 16.7 cm Framed: 22 × 24.5 cm The painting is in good vintage condition.
