Shell with quite a bit of discoloration and age-related marks. Marked with a stamped V on the bottom (Vitra, I suspect, though I can't quite place the marking). I replaced the original H-base (see photos, which are included) with a new rocker base.
Peach color, the photos speak for themselves. That being said, I'm selling it with mixed feelings. I'm a huge fan of Charles and Ray Eames—their comprehensive designs, their own eclectic interior—and I don't necessarily want to part with the chair. I bought the chair in this vintage condition from a dealer 15 years ago. But I can't seem to find a good place for it anywhere in the house; it's always in the way or unused. So it's languishing in the attic until better times, but it's just taking up space there.
It's only for a good offer. Pros: a rather unusual color, clearly showing its age, the shell isn't cracked or otherwise damaged, and it has a finer and more attractive rocker base (which was already around €120, I believe). Cons: signs of wear, discoloration, and a less common marking without stickers. Overall: a super charming design classic with a life of its own!
