‘Smoke’ chairs designed by Maarten Baas for Moooi
A rare find in our collection: these iconic ‘Smoke’ chairs, designed by Maarten Baas for the renowned Dutch design house Moooi. A design that is not only visually intriguing but also a true work of art in terms of technique.
Each chair is crafted from wood that has undergone a special fire treatment. This process results in a blackened appearance, with some sections of the wood removed and re-formed with epoxy resin. The result is a strong, characterful frame that will make a striking statement in any room.
The chairs are finished with high-quality black leather, professionally upholstered, and embellished with classic metal studded bands. No two chairs are exactly alike, giving each piece a unique signature.
We have five available, sold individually. All chairs are in good condition, have been carefully cleaned, and treated with a nourishing leather wax. Ready for immediate use. Dimensions
