It's impossible to mention the Netherlands without thinking of the silhouettes of the windmills that still dot the landscapes of Holland. For centuries, they have set the rhythm of life in the polders, drained land reclaimed from the sea, and become one of the country's most emblematic symbols. This small earthenware windmill, made by VERO Sweet Presents, reflects this traditional architecture in the spirit of the famous Delft ceramics. Entirely hand-painted, it combines white enamel with the deep cobalt blue that has made Dutch earthenware famous since the 17th century. The stylized floral decorations and movable wings add a lot of charm to this miniature. Height approximately 12 cm. Founded in the Netherlands, VERO produced numerous handcrafted creations inspired by Dutch heritage from the 1960s to the 1980s. These objects, intended for both collectors and travelers, are now sought after for their quality craftsmanship and authentic character. Very good overall condition, with its original wings and its VERO – Hand Painted – Delft's Blue marking underneath the base. The wings turn freely. A beautiful decorative piece that recalls the traditional craftsmanship of Dutch workshops.
