Antieke Halborstelkast met Spiegel – Rijk Gedecoreerd Repoussé Messing
Een zeldzaam en karaktervol interieurstuk uit vervlogen tijden (circa 1890–1920). Dit type Art Deco kastje sierde vroeger de hallen van de luxere herenhuizen, bedoeld voor een snelle controle van het uiterlijk en het afborstelen van hoeden en mantels bij binnenkomst.
De voorzijde is een ware blikvanger: prachtig geperst repoussé messing op hout, versierd met klassieke ornamenten in Jugendstil / laat-neorenaissance stijl. Wat dit exemplaar écht bijzonder maakt, is dat de originele kledingborstels nog binnenin aanwezig zijn. Het kastje verkeert in een mooie antieke staat met een warme, geleefde patina. Spiegel, scharnieren en sluiting zijn volledig origineel en intact.
Dit antieke wandkastje met spiegel is een verfijnd voorbeeld van klassiek vakmanschap, vervaardigd uit hout en afgewerkt met rijkelijk gedecoreerd messing. Het ontwerp kenmerkt zich door sierlijke, florale motieven en een elegante kroon, wat het stuk een uitgesproken historisch karakter geeft.
Het kastje is opgebouwd uit een houten basis, bekleed met gedetailleerd bewerkt messing. De spiegeldeur verbergt een met goudkleurig metaal bekleed interieur, waarin twee bijpassende kledingborstels met messing ruggen zijn opgeborgen.
