Iconic sideboard, model DS5, from the I Maestri collection, designed in 1918 by Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh and later produced by the Italian design manufacturer Cassina. This piece embodies Mackintosh's distinctive design language at the intersection of Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, and early Modernism. Clean, architectural lines meet decorative details, lending the piece a sculptural, serene presence.
Crafted from black-stained ash with an exposed grain and mosaic work of leaded glass pieces in the upper section. The sideboard offers practical storage space through several doors and drawers and is suitable both as a functional piece of furniture and as a design object.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age that enhance the piece's character. There are only slight surface scratches.
