Some landscapes become more compelling the less they reveal. In Mystery High III, a solitary mountain rises through layers of pale blue mist. Its snowy summit emerges sharply for a moment, while the lower slopes dissolve into an indistinct forest. The partial view evokes the feeling of encountering something vast through shifting cloud; present, but never entirely revealed. Textured marks suggest trees across the foreground, while translucent layers of blue and white soften the sky and obscure the mountain’s edges. Seen from a distance, the painting feels quiet and expansive; up close, subtle changes in colour, movement and texture begin to emerge. Mystery High III was created outside my main collections, within the freer space where I experiment with atmosphere, scale and mark-making. Completely original and one of a kind. Hand-signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
