Product description
A rare and beautifully aged wall-mounted shelf or plate rack, originating from either the Netherlands or the UK. Dating from the early to mid-19th century (circa 1820–1860), this piece remains in its original condition and showcases the charm of authentic period craftsmanship.
Constructed from solid hardwood, it features hand-cut joinery, rustic pegwork, and visible tool marks indicative of pre-industrial carpentry. The three upper shelves are framed by slightly bowed horizontal supports, while the lower section includes three arched cubbies, subtly decorated with rosette carvings—a stylistic hallmark of provincial Dutch or English furniture of the time.
