This teak extendable table is a design by Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé, an original Dutch design from the 1950s.
Louis van Teeffelen (1921-1972) is a Dutch designer best known for his furniture designs for the Walraven & Bevers furniture factory, later called Wébé. The Topform purchasing group, along with other retail chains such as V&D, Morres, and Piet Klerkx, is the largest buyer of Wébé furniture. Louis designs exclusive furniture for them. His sales territory was primarily the Netherlands and Belgium.
Bids start at €300. The second-hand table is available for €1,000 to €1,250.
The top only needs sanding and a re-treatment with teak oil. There are some water stains on the top (see detailed photos). A little effort is all it takes to enjoy this bargain.
