Rainer Daumiller is a furniture designer born in Germany who emigrated to Denmark in 1959. His sculptural wooden furniture represents Daumiller's love of natural materials and his connection to nature. The artist's work is strongly influenced by the ideas of the Austrian philosopher, social reformer, and architect Rudolf Steiner.
The Daumiller Chair was designed in 1977 and is now his most famous design. Recently reissued by Gubi, the chair is currently experiencing a renaissance.
