The Artix collection from Digoin Sarreguemines is among the manufacturer's most renowned productions from the 1930s-1940s. This large oval dish powerfully testifies to this. On the fine, pure white earthenware, the wide rim features a highly modern geometric decoration, airbrushed in intense cobalt blue. Sharp-angled lozenges, structured by fine crosshatching, unfold in a regular rhythm around the entire perimeter, creating a striking optical effect between the deep blue and the immaculate white of the background. The design, devoid of superfluous ornamentation, fully belongs to the aesthetic of the interwar period, a time when French manufacturers embraced geometry as a universal language.
