Beautiful dinner plate from the Digoin Sarreguemines factory, belonging to the Capri pattern, in a cobalt blue on white palette which remains one of the most elegant in antique French tableware. The decoration is entirely focused on the rim. A wreath of large stylized flowers, with finely detailed petals, alternates with bouquets of foliage. A geometric frieze with diamond patterns frames the entire design and highlights the plate's edge. The entirely white well (center) leaves ample space for the eye and lends the piece an understated, very contemporary elegance. Digoin Sarreguemines is one of the major French earthenware manufacturers, with a history dating back to the 18th century. In the mid-20th century, the company produced dinner services that furnished bourgeois interiors and restaurant tables. The Capri model, with its classic yet graphic blue and white decor, belongs to this refined production from the 1950s-1960s. The reverse bears the stamp: Capri, Réserve Casino, Digoin Sarreguemines, France. Diameter approximately 24 cm. The plate shows some discreet signs of use, visible in the photographs, which are natural for a piece of this age.
