born in Hilversum, 1939
Dic Zandbergen was a qualified painter, he has also taught for more than two decades as a teacher of Visual Education in secondary education. This is to provide for the livelihood of his wife, two children and himself.
After his retirement he lived for a short time in the south of Spain, where he continued painting. Especially when painting dynamic and sun-drenched canvases.
The work of Dic Zandbergen can be described as abstract impressionism.
