This beautiful cabinet was designed by Pien ten Napel. She graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
The design is minimalist and fits into any interior. The cabinet is made in the Netherlands and is completely handmade.
The body of the cabinet is made of curved MDF and the shelves and the 2 tapered legs are made of oak. The color of the cabinet is white. This cabinet is a showroom model and is therefore discounted.
Story by Designer Pien ten Napel:
“Last week I returned from Singapore, where I had the opportunity to work on wonderful projects for over six months. I like to experiment and do a lot of research into materials. The design of the cabinet for Particolare had to be inspired by the 1970s and round shapes were a prerequisite. The body of the cabinet can be made in beautiful soft colors from nature, but white and anthracite are of course also possible. My aim is to design furniture and accessories with a technical tour de force. The latter worked well with the cupboard! I like to retreat every now and then and go offline for a while. Then I can daydream and new ideas arise. I like to design special products in small quantities. A trend that is becoming increasingly visible. I experiment with both materials and techniques and here too the following applies: We already know how simple it is, it has to be different. This may involve innovative use of materials, unexpected combinations of materials or special techniques. The balance of collaboration, creativity, technology, innovation and peace makes my life interesting. “
The legs do not really have a function and that means that it is best to attach the cabinet to the wall at the top with a small corner that you do not see. Freestanding in space is therefore not recommended, as the legs are not stable enough for that. There may be a few very small scratches on the cabinet because the cabinet has been moved to the place where it is now. However, this is minimal and that is why we also sell the cabinet at a discount.
