The rug is a mottled, deep-pile, and custom-made kidney-shaped, measuring 275 x 420 cm. It was purchased at the interior design store Novalis-O in Oisterwijk. The rug's exact age is unknown, but it is at least eight years old. It is known that the purchase price was around €8,000.
It might be visible where the sofa once stood because the rug under it has never been walked on. When the rug is in place, this is certainly not immediately noticeable.
