The Denbac stoneware soliflore vase, emblematic of the Art Deco style of the 1920s, bears witness to the legacy of René Denert, who founded his workshop in Vierzon in 1908. Building on the ceramics business that had flourished in the town since the early 19th century, Denert developed a company that evolved after the arrival of René Louis Balichon in 1910, to become Denert et Balichon in 1921. The workshop's production diversified, offering a wide range of stoneware vases and decorative objects under the Denbac brand. However, after Denert's death in 1937, business declined and, despite a timid recovery after the Second World War, the company ceased production in 1952, leaving behind a rich ceramic heritage appreciated by collectors.
This vintage/antique piece is in near original condition. It may show minimal traces of use.
