The Demon Trolley was designed by Mathieu Matégot in 1952 and is now one of the most sought-after serving trolleys of French Mid - Century design.
Matégot, originally from Hungary and based in Paris, is considered one of the most important designers of the post-war period. With the development of his special technique of perforated and shaped metal sheets - which he called Rigitulle - he created a completely new material aesthetic that makes his furniture unmistakable.
The model impresses with its slim, black lacquered tubular steel frame on four movable castors, which combines lightness and functionality. It has two removable trays in color-painted, perforated metal - here in turquoise and red - as well as a permanently integrated shelf in black. This combination allows both decorative accents and flexible use in everyday life. The removable trays can be used independently of the trolley, demonstrating the versatility of the serving trolley.
