A beautiful, authentic base plate (lektas) from a traditional two-piece fruit bowl / strawberry bowl. This iconic piece of fine ceramics was made and hand-painted by the renowned Royal Tichelaar factory in Makkum (Friesland). The dish has an elegant cross-shaped (quatrefoil) form with scalloped edges. The central design depicts a classic Dutch landscape with a windmill by the water and a sailboat, framed by refined floral motifs.
