Product description
Elegant Deknudt floor lamp in Art Deco style. This stylish floor lamp, designed by the Belgian designer Deknudt, is made of brass, with five satin-pink opal glass shades in the shape of a shell, which cast a warm glow.
The lamp dates from the late 1970s/early 1980s and is in beautiful vintage condition (apart from some scratches on the brass section and the base, see photo).
This lamp still has the original Lustrerie Deknudt sticker.
The family business Deknudt was founded in 1956 by Armand Deknudt. At that time, he primarily worked with copper and marble. His wife, Brita, created the lampshades and oversaw the production process. In 1992, their daughter Lucia Deknudt took over the company. Together with her husband, Francis Clarysse, they successfully expanded into the international market, gaining considerable name recognition, particularly through their craftsmanship and the use of materials.
