Iconic modular DS-600 sofa, designed in 1972 by Ueli Berger, Eleonore Peduzzi Riva, Heinz Ulrich, and Klaus Vogt for De Sede.
This exceptional example comprises a total of 30 elements (24 center elements and 6 raised side elements/armrests/ends) in high-quality, dark mocha-brown leather, Switzerland, 1980s.
We also love the configuration as individual armchairs, consisting of two center elements and two side elements—a variant that is rarely, if ever, offered, yet is both visually stunning and exceptionally comfortable.
The large number of side elements thus offers the owner an extraordinary degree of flexibility and a wide range of possible configurations.
The DS-600 is known for its sculptural flexibility, which allows for countless arrangements ranging from serpentine lines to dramatic circular forms. Handcrafted in Switzerland, this chair represents the pinnacle of De Sede's leather craftsmanship and remains one of the most celebrated seating designs of the 20th century.
A rare configuration in an exceptional size and a true statement piece for spacious interiors.
In the photos taken in the white room, the leather appears black, but it is actually dark brown. The color is clearly visible in photo 7.
The leather color is referred to as "cigarro" on the official De Sede website.
In excellent original condition.
