Product description
Danish walking stick designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1958. This iconic walking stick was manufactured by the company Kolds Savværk. The cane has all the hallmarks of Danish Modernism; simplicity and elegance with an eye for detail and good materials. It is made in oak with wood inlays of a darker type of wood (teak) which gives a nice contrast. In addition, the ring as a handle is also a striking feature. That ring makes it possible to hang the stick on the arm, which is functional and visually strong. The walking stick is no longer in production and has become a coveted collector's item. Due to its successful combination of functionality & aesthetics, it has become a true design icon. Nanna Ditzel was a true design icon. She worked tirelessly in the field for over fifty years, won important awards and recognitions (including the Lunning Prize, three silver medals and a gold at the Milan Triennale, and the Lifelong Artist's Grant from the Danish Ministry of Culture) and created works that are still bestsellers.

This cane is in nice vintage condition with a patina appropriate for its age.
