A true Danish design icon; the 'PH5' pendant lamp designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 and manufactured by Louis Poulsen. The model name includes the designer's initials (PH) as well as a reference to the diameter (50 cm). This lamp, which only won an iF Design award in 1971, is based on the principle of a reflective multiple screen system, which creates harmonious and 100% glare-free lighting. The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition with minimal signs of use. These are in the form of light scratches and are difficult to capture in photos. The scratches are only on the top, which are not visible when the lamp is hung up. The manufacturer's sticker is present inside as a sign of authenticity. Poul Henningsen was a Danish writer, critic, architect and designer. He is often called the first real lighting architect because he devoted a large part of his life to researching the importance of light for well-being. He focused on creating lamps that produced glare-free lighting. His best-known lamp models are the PH Artichoke, the PH 5 and the PH Contrast lamp.
