Product description
Danish GE240 Cigar Chair designed by top designer Hans J. Wegner in 1955. The chair was manufactured by Getama and bears the Getama stamp on the bottom, supporting the armchair's provenance and authenticity. With its organic design, the GE240 is one of the more distinctive Wegner armchairs from the 1950s. This vintage example features a solid oak frame and is equipped with the original spring cushion system and upholstery. The armchair is in very beautiful vintage condition. The lovely patina on the oak wood, acquired over the years, gives this chair extra character and clearly indicates that it is an authentic vintage piece. Both cushions have a few stains on the underside/back (see photo), but the visible top is still in very good condition without stains. Furthermore, they remain very comfortable. The GE240 is undoubtedly a special piece of Danish mid-century design, ideal for enthusiasts and collectors of Hans Wegner and authentic Scandinavian vintage design.
