Cylindrical Beech Wood Wall Lamp by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus, Sweden, 1960s. Rare wall lamp designed by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus, Sweden, during the 1960s. The lamp features a solid beech wood wall mount paired with a cylindrical white acrylic shade that emits a warm and beautifully diffused light. A perfect example of the refined simplicity and natural materials for which Scandinavian Modern design is celebrated. The lamp retains its original Luxus label and is equipped with a functional on/off switch discreetly positioned on the underside of the wooden wall bracket. The combination of the warm wood grain and the softly glowing shade results in a timeless and elegant appearance. The lamp remains in very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of age and use consistent with its history. A beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find design by Uno & Östen Kristiansson that works equally well as a bedside lamp, hallway light or atmospheric accent piece.
