Two flames, a few crystal glints, and a table's ambiance is instantly transformed. This very elegant two-light candelabra creates an almost sculptural silhouette, evoking an open lyre. Its two arms rise gracefully from a wide oval base, entirely crafted to play with light. The crystal is generously cut with radiating patterns and stylized foliage. The widely faceted base forms a luminous crown, while the two fluted bobeches hold the candles aloft. When these are lit, the crystal's facets catch the flame and multiply it into a multitude of small reflections. Made in Europe in the second half of the 20th century, circa , it belongs to that generation of decorative objects where crystal left grand ceremonial tables to enter freer and more contemporary interiors. On a set table, it immediately adds an elegant touch. On a console, a mantelpiece, or a low cabinet, it becomes a decorative object in its own right. And there's no need to wait for grand occasions: two candles on a winter evening are more than enough to bring out all its charm. A luminous and refined piece, which retains the timeless elegance characteristic of cut crystal. Approximately 16 cm in width. Approximately 12 to 13 cm in height.
