Curved Cylindrical Wall Lamps by J.J.M. Hoogervorst for Anvia Nederland, The Netherlands, 1960s. These striking wall lamps perfectly illustrate Hoogervorst’s talent for combining geometric forms with bold colour combinations. The design consists of a curved white cylindrical body encircled by a vibrant orange-red metal band, creating a strong graphic contrast and a distinctly Modernist appearance. When illuminated, the lamps emit a warm and atmospheric glow both upwards and downwards, while the coloured metal ring adds a sculptural quality to the design. Their clean lines and playful use of colour make them an excellent example of Dutch mid-century lighting design. The pair is in very good condition, with only minor signs of age and use, including some light surface scratching consistent with their age. A rare and highly decorative set that will make a wonderful addition to any mid-century, Modernist or contemporary interior.
