A striking pair of one-of-a-kind studio glass vases, both handcrafted and signed by skilled glass artists working within the tradition of West German postwar studio glass. These two pieces likely originated from a curated exhibition context — possibly linked to Rosenthal's renowned Studio Line glass showcases, which collaborated with various artisans and glassworks throughout Bavaria and beyond.
Each vase is a testament to craftsmanship, freely blown and shaped with a distinctive artistic vocabulary: one refined and architectural in deep aqua blue, the other richly iridescent in earthy tones with painterly inclusions and a dramatically flared, undulating rim. The aesthetic aligns with the experimental, sculptural glass objects promoted by German studios such as Karl Schmid / Zwiesel, Lauscha, or smaller ateliers tied to Rosenthal’s in-house gallery exhibitions.
