The Cubosfera is a table lamp designed by Italian architect and designer Alessandro Mendini in the 1960s for Fidenza Vetraria, an Italian art glass company. The lamp is known for its sculptural and minimalist geometric shape: a blown or molded glass cube enclosing a sphere of light inside, creating a dynamic and intriguing contrast between the forms. Dimensions: L 16 x 17 x 16 cm. The lamp, now extremely rare due to its fragility, has a chip visible in the photo (red circle), which is nevertheless imperceptible if one does not focus on it, thanks to the play of light and shadow it creates, both when on and off. Moreover, by rotating the lamp in the most appropriate way relative to where it is placed, nothing is noticeable at all. Bulbs are not included.
