Beautiful large covered vase, ginger jar, or urn, made of celadon-glazed oxblood-blood ceramic or porcelain in the style of Meiping porcelain, a recent production from the 1990s-2000s, unsigned. Lovely traditional shape with its attractive lid.
35cm maximum height with lid, 25.5cm without, approximately 19cm maximum diameter. In good used condition, with some discreet crazing on the body, one of which appears to penetrate the entire piece, but is slight. There are a few minor imperfections consistent with age and manufacture, including some uneven grain and a few discreet surface scratches. The interior is unglazed; I don't believe it is watertight, so avoid liquids. Approximately 1.2 kg.
