This classic bowl was manufactured by S. Hancock & Sons under the brand name Corona Ware (1912/1937). It is the Sheraton model, a refined example of English ceramics from Stoke-on-Trent. The design is characterized by an elegant, traditional appearance typical of early twentieth-century British production.
The bowl is made of ceramic with a cream-colored base. The rim is decorated with a detailed floral motif in black, pink, yellow, and green, framed by fine geometric patterns. The original factory stamp is visible on the underside, including the model name Sheraton and the number 6260. The subtle hand-painted floral details add an artisanal character to the whole.
The object is in a condition commensurate with its age and previous use. The original luster has largely been preserved, and the decoration is still clear and legible. The authentic character of this historic piece of ceramics remains intact.
This bowl looks its best in a classic or country-style interior. The object can serve as a decorative centerpiece on a sideboard or as part of an extensive collection of antique tableware.
