Cordless vase lamp – suitable for balconies, patios, or living spaces – crafted from a ceramic vase by Scheurich Keramik, model 529/18.
The vase dates back to the West German Pottery era of the 1960s/70s and features Scheurich's signature organic glaze with vibrant color gradients. Model 529 is one of the manufacturer's classic designs. This particular vase has a small, superficial crack in the glaze, which has been repaired and finished with a very fine gold glaze – a nod to the traditional Japanese technique of Kintsugi.

The vase was carefully converted into a lamp using a securely anchored, yet removable, plug-in solution. The lamp base is weighted for stability. The vase opening is sealed with a high-quality brass cap. The vase retains all its collector's value. E27 socket with a brass finish.
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed using the included remote control, and several light colors are available.
Thanks to its wireless operation, the lamp is particularly well-suited for locations without a direct power outlet, such as balconies, patios, or gardens.
The lampshade has a diameter of 20 cm and a height of 20 cm and is covered with handmade batik paper. The vibrant pattern features flowing color gradients and dot-like structures in shades of green, blue, and yellow. This creates a lively, almost cosmic surface that is especially striking when illuminated. The light is softly filtered by the paper, producing a warm and atmospheric glow.
This lamp is a handcrafted, one-of-a-kind piece made from vintage ceramic with a custom-made lampshade. It is suitable both as decorative accent lighting indoors and as a flexible light source in sheltered outdoor areas.
