Product description
The lamp is cordless, making it ideal for locations without a direct power outlet – such as balconies, patios, or gardens. At the same time, the combination of vintage ceramic and Japanese fabric adds a striking accent to any room.
The vase is from S. P. Gerz, a long-established ceramics manufacturer from the Westerwald region of Germany. In the second half of the 20th century, they produced numerous decorative studio ceramics with expressive glazes, stylistically belonging to the West German Pottery or Fat Lava era.
The vase features a vibrant, two-tone glaze in a luminous red with darker to black lava and flow patterns. The expressive surface is typical of many ceramics from this period.

This vase, with its distinctive base marking and collector's value, has been carefully converted into a lamp using a securely anchored yet reversible plug-in solution. The lamp base is weighted for stability. The vase opening has been sealed with a high-quality brass cap, preserving the vase's collector's value. It features an E27 socket with a brass finish.
Technology – wireless & flexible: The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use and can be dimmed using the included remote control, which also offers several color temperatures.

The lampshade: Diameter: 23 cm, Height: 24 cm, Material: Japanese cotton fabric with a koi motif. The pattern depicts stylized koi carp in shades of blue, gray, and red. The flowing shapes and vibrant texture create a dynamic surface that forms a striking contrast to the bold ceramic glaze.
The light is pleasantly softened by the fabric, creating a warm and atmospheric glow.
