This extraordinary vase lamp, newly assembled, was upcycled from a striking ceramic vase dating back to the 1970s. The manufacturer is not definitively identifiable, but stylistically, the piece clearly belongs to the European studio ceramics of that era. It is likely a small-batch production from a small West German ceramics studio. The form is sculptural and confident: a bulbous body, short shoulders, two side handles, and a three-dimensional front with organic relief. The intense, vibrant orange glaze with dark inclusions lends the vase depth and character – a true statement piece. Article-friendly upcycling The conversion to a lamp was carried out with complete care to preserve the original object: • no drilling • no irreversible alterations • original collector's value is maintained The lamp socket is anchored inside the vase with a cork and a clip. The vase was weighted with sand for stability. The vase opening is sealed with a high-quality brass plate, the threaded rod has a brass coating, and the socket is also brass-colored.
