Complete portfolio with 24 collotype reproductions after Constantin Guys (1802–1892), the French illustrator called "The Painter of Modern Life" by Baudelaire. Published by Pantheon Books, New York, in 1945 — Collotypes printed by The Meriden Gravure Company, Meriden, Connecticut. Gray and sepia reproductions of Guys' pen-and-wax drawings of Parisian women from the Second Empire era, each plate mounted on cardboard. In the original blue portfolio folder with gold lettering on the front. Original paper promotional band ("24 Enchanting Sketches Of Parisian Women") still present — Rarely preserved.
